What is KendallsQuilts & Sew Much More?

KendallsQuilts came about because of my mom, Elizabeth Kendall Sproles. She came to visit me in April 2007 and wanted to go to the different fabric/quilt stores in the area. So we packed up my daughter (Kendall) and headed towards Bloomington, Washington, Peoria and Pekin. In one of the stores I saw a pre-cut package of fabric that I really liked, so my mom bought it for me.

She educated me on her quilting knowledge of placement and flow and we laid the 25 pre-cut pieces out. My husband knows that I have a tendency to start a "hobby" and get bored with it within a few months. He told me that I had to sew my first quilt by hand and then he would buy me a sewing machine. A day later I had sewn my 5 X 5 block layout by hand. True to his word, my husband bought me a sewing machine for Mother's day and the true addiction began.

A group of ladies in my hometown get together on Tuesday nights to sew. I joined them one night and they were starting a new project, a hand bag. I must say my sewing addiction grew even more after that evening. I have since done quilts and handbags for family and friends. I really do enjoy making them as much I hope you enjoy looking at them. I will do my best to make you a piece that you are proud of and can use for many years.
